The booking information including assigned seats is transferred to the check-in system about one day before departure, and thereafter you may check in for the flight at any airport in Finland. At check-in, both for the outbound and return flight, the passenger is identified by the passport or, if needed, by the flight confirmation received from the travel agency. At check-in the passenger receives a boarding pass with the seat number marked on it. Passengers, who have only purchased the flight without a tour package, should also present the ticket at check-in.

Check-in for Finnair Leisure flights at Helsinki-VantaaAirport takes place in the Terminal 2 usually in Departure Hall 4, sometimes in Departure Hall 2.

We recommend that you arrive at check-in about 2 hours prior to departure time.

For Leisure flight departing early in the morning, you may check in already the previous evening between 20:00 and 21:30 at Helsinki-VantaaAirport. One family member who is also taking the flight, may bring the baggage of the whole family, provided that he or she has all the tickets and travel documents along. In the morning, the passengers may go straight to security control. The amount of carry-on baggage is checked at the gate.

A connecting time of at least 75 minutes is necessary between a domestic flight and a Leisure flight in both directions.
