On Finnair Leisure flights your free allowance of checked baggage is 20 kg or 44 lb. A child under 2 years of age without a reserved seat onboard the aircraft may have 10 kg or 22 lb. of checked baggage and a folding children’s pushchair.

As carry-on baggage every passenger may also have one bag with the maximum weight of 8 kg or 18 lb. and the maximum dimensions of 56 x 45 x 25 cm or 22 x 16 x 8 in. The carry-on baggage should fit under the seat in front or in the overhead lockers. As storage space is limited in the cabin, the amount of carry-on baggage is restricted in order to ensure safety and passenger comfort. Items which are too large to stow away in the cabin are removed from the passenger at check-in and transported in the hold of the aircraft. The cabin crew can not take responsibility for passengers’ medication and for hygienic reasons may not accept medicine to be stored in the pantry. The cool storage space is reserved only for food which is served onboard.

A single baggage item, such as a suitcase shared by two persons, may not weigh more than 32 kg or 70 lb. on Finnair flights. Exceptions are made only concerning special baggage, for example heavy sports equipment, music instruments, pets and wheelchairs, which must be notified at the time of reservation.

Wheelchairs and children’s pushchairs are transported free of charge on Leisure flights. The travel agency should make a remark in the reservation about a wheelchair and inform the airline separately about electric wheelchairs.
